NICHOLAS ATKESON, Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Atkeson is a founding partner of Delta Investment Management, LLC. Mr. Atkeson has over 13 years of industry experience, Prior to founding Delta Investment Management, Mr. Atkeson was a partner and portfolio manager of Delta Force Capital, LLC, a San Francisco based hedge fund from 2006 to April 2009. Prior to Delta Force Capital, Mr. Atkeson was a Managing Director for Banc of America Securities and ThinkEquity LLC. Additionally, Mr. Atkeson helped build the institutional sales team on the west coast for Susquehanna International Group, LLC. Mr. Atkeson is currently an editor of option newsletters for InvestorPlace Media. Mr. Atkeson graduated from Haverford College with a BA in Economics and from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1988.
ANDREW HOUGHTON, Chief Investment Strategist
Mr. Houghton is a founding partner of Delta Investment Management, LLC. Mr. Houghton has over 13 years of industry experience. Prior to founding Delta Investment Management, Mr. Houghton was a partner and portfolio manager of Delta Force Capital, a quantitative hedge fund from 2006 until April 2009. Prior to founding and managing the hedge fund, Mr. Houghton was a Managing Director at ThinkEquity in institutional sales, helped develop the west coast institutional sales presence for Susquehanna International Group and served in senior institutional sales positions at Banc of America Securities and its predecessor firms. Mr. Houghton is currently an editor of option newsletters for InvestorPlace Media. Mr. Houghton has a BA in Economics from Boston University.
MICHAEL KRESS, Senior Portfolio Manager
With over 40 years of industry experience Mr. Kress has been managing wealth and advising institutional accounts with his proprietary technical discipline for the past 30 years. Prior to joining ThinkEquity LLC he was a Managing Director for Banc of America Securities, Credit Suisse First Boston (formally Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he worked for 22 years), Smith Barney, and Bear Stearns. Mr. Kress graduated from Ohio University in 1965 with a BA in Business Administration. The Kress Group became the first money management team at ThinkEquity in January 2005.
AUSTIN SPERRY, Sales & Marketing Manager
Mr. Sperry joined the Delta team in 2009. Prior to joining Delta Investment Management, Mr. Sperry competed in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics in the sport of sailing, more specifically the double handed Men’s keelboat (Star Class). Before Mr. Sperry set off on his Olympic quest he worked side by side with Delta’s founders, Mr. Atkeson and Mr. Houghton on the Banc of America Securities institutional sales trading desk for a number of years. Mr. Sperry currently sits on the board of directors the Boy’s & Girl’s Club of the Gulf Coast and is a board member with The E.M.S. Group LLC and Pizza South, LLC.
